As taught in some yeshivas, Y'shua performed "magic tricks" and
caused clay birds to fly, and even occasionally flew himself.
Do you think that students in the yeshivas would then consider
that Y'shua could be the Messiah? |
 |
AND WHERE ARE THESE IDEAS TAUGHT?
The Toledot Yeshu, an old Jewish source of references to Jesus,
which is in addition to the sparse talmudic references. It
offers more elaborate and rather fantastic accounts of Y'shua's
life, even though it's origin is traced to the fifth century
A.D.! The Toledot records that Jesus's mother was pregnant with
Jesus through rape and that the corpse of Jesus was dragged
through the streets by the "wise men" (Jewish religious
leaders).
WHAT OTHER THINGS DOES THE TOLEDOT YESHU SAY?
Jesus arrived in Jerusalem "riding on a donkey" BUT the Hebrew
scriptures affirm that the Messiah will in fact do exactly this.
The prophecy given to Daniel (the "Daniel in the lion's den")
said that from the going forth of the command (March 14, 445
B.C.E.) by King Artexerxex 1 of Persia, to rebuild the wall
around Jerusalem, 476 years (on the solar "Julian" calendar)
would elapse and then the Messiah will come. Zechariah 9:9,
written about 500 years before Jesus was born, it says, "Rejoice
greatly, O daughter of Zion [Israel]! Behold, your King
[Messiah] is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, yet
He is lowly and riding on a donkey."
AND WHAT ABOUT THE "RAPE" CLAIM OF JESUS' MOTHER?
Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the
virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name
Immanuel.
A sign is a miraculous event. The event was that far beyond
Isaiah's life time a young woman - an unmarried "virgin" would
have a son, and his name will be called Immanuel, which means,
GOD WITH US!
HIS CORPSE WAS DRAGGED THROUGH THE STREET!
Now comes the most biased deception put forth by the Toledot
Yeshu. Jesus was not dragged through the street! What actually
happened to J'eshu's body? According to King David written 1000
years before crucifixion was ever used, the Messiah would be
crucified. Ps.22:6-31. According to Isaiah Chapter 53, the
Messiah was to be bruised for our iniquities, ... he has born
our griefs and carried our sorrows, yet we esteemed Him
stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for
our transgression...and by His stripes we are healed. All we
like sheep have gone astray; We have turned every one, to his
own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
BUT...THE STORY DOESN'T END HERE!!! ALTHOUGH Y'SHUA WAS
PIERCED BECAUSE OF OUR TRANSGRESSIONS WHICH SEPARATED US FROM A
HOLY GOD, AND DIED ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES,

HE WAS NOT LEFT IN THE
GRAVE! |
