THE WORK OF THE MINISTRY
Evangelism
The heart of our ministry is reaching out to Jewish people with the wonderful
news of of Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus the Messiah. It is our joy and privilege
to tell our fellow Jews that God has kept His
promise to send a Deliverer: Yeshua came forth from the God of our fathers and is not just a “Light
to the Gentiles,” but is also the glory of His people Israel.
Our evangelism is
both through developing relationships with our neighbors, having been purposely planted in a
predominantly Jewish community, and
through more direct means such as our spiritual surveys:
Discipleship
Evangelism without discipleship is irresponsible. Therefore, our goal is not
only to see Jewish people profess a saving faith in Messiah, but to see them
grow and become disciple-makers themselves.
Education
We also seek to share with the local church about the Jewish roots of our faith,
speaking in churches, Sunday Schools, and other Christian groups. We also
speak regarding some of the prevailing myths, i.e., that Jews do not need salvation
through Jesus. Just as importantly, we offer help on how to share the good news
with a Jewish person, answering the objectives or as we call them “land mines”.
Below are pictures from a Messiah in the
Passover presentation.
Below is a picture of Michael and Mimi enjoying a seder
meal with friends and those who participate in their small group through their
church (the theme of which is studying how to answer Jewish objections to Jesus
being the Messiah). This was also an evangelistic opportunity as two
unbelieving Jewish people attended this event.
